What is Chiropody?
Chiropody involves the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of foot conditions through various therapeutic methods, orthotics, and other palliative measures.
Chiropodists and Podiatrists are the only regulated health professionals that specialize in treating conditions of the foot. They have a minimum of 7-8 years of post-secondary education before obtaining their professional designation.
The scope of practice for Chiropodist and podiatrists allows them to treat skin conditions, nail conditions, subcutaneous lesions, bone deformities, and biomechanical problems.
